I always love a good dance party

Today I am rocking out with Kami and her dance party.
My little brother's girlfriend Ange, suggested this song for car dancing
and we love it:

We took the kids to see This is It last week. We all really loved it.
Add got up and started dancing in the aisle during this next one:
Add made a funny comment yesterday. Her hair was falling out of her ponytail so it was kinda wispy in front and she said, "Hey, I have hair like Michael Jackson!"
it was hilarious.

And last but not least, I love Joy Ride by the Killers.
This is one of my favs to listen to while dancing around the kitchen.
(Ethan loves when I do that)
not the best video quality but oh well:

What are you dancing to?

disaster area

My kitchen looks like a bomb went off.
I am making cookie dough for the Beehive Bazaar
(are you coming? please, do!)
The Bazaar is only two weeks away
but next week is Thanksgiving and my 30th birthday
so I am trying to get ready early.
I have lists upon lists that I am relying on.
I am a major list maker. I am lost without a list.
Back to the kitchen.
ps. 5 points for you
if you can see a picture of yourself on our fridge. haha.

apples to apples

Everyday I take the same route to work.
And everyday this fall I have turned the corner and looked at this apple stand.
I always wish I would have remembered to leave a few minutes early
so I could stop and buy some apples. The other day, I finally took the time to stop. I bought a huge bag of fuji apples for $7. They are so sweet and juicy. I'm glad I had my camera with me that day (I don't normally bring it to work)
so I could snap this picture.

I can't decide if I am more happy with the collection of apple baskets
or the apples themselves.
I really, really love collections.

robot love

I've wanted to post about this shirt since last Saturday
but it's been in the dirty laundry.
The kids and I went to a fabric sale and brought home a big stash of fat quarters.
I let the kids both pick out a few that they liked.
I asked Kade what he wanted to make and he wanted a robot.
So he drew a picture of the robot
and then he picked out the fabric for each part of the robot.
I sewed them all on and I love how it turned out.
I definitely would not have picked the fabrics Kade chose but I think it works.
I am thrilled that Kade loves this shirt so much,
it was a great feeling for me to be creating with him.

self

A few quick self portraits this morning before we run off to dance class.
I love red shoes and cardigans.
And Oscar's butt in the small mirror. HA

more color

I like to think the vibrant fall colors this year are just for me.
Sometimes I need reminding just how much I love living here.
This fall has been beautiful.
(this is our tree out front)

practice

My friend, Lindsey taught me how to make caramels
so I've been busy wrapping them up.

Thank you to everyone who checked on me this weekend.
Ethan is home and Kade is much better...it was a 12 hour bug.
Princess Addi is calling me to put on my red heels and come to her room for a party...I better go.
