I'm two pictures short and I had lots going on.  not pictured: lunch with Annalee, stopping to visit E, dropping off clothes at DI and picking up Two Jacks for dinner.  It was a busy Monday.

Today was great.  I worked in the morning while the kids were in school.  Ethan had the day off so he golfed.  We met up after school and went to the pumpkin patch.  Then the kids played with some friends while I read outside.  I just finished City of Thieves.  I really like it, though it probably would be R rated.  We went out to eat and then went over to the mall.  

Everyone loves cake bites from the STF before bed.  

12 x 12 september edition

1. I had a hard time getting Kade up this morning.  He just got out of his bed and into mine.

2. Making lunches for Kade and I

3. Seeing the boy off on the bus

4. So thirsty after work

5. The pumpkins are getting ready in the fields by our house.

6. I love seeing balloons way up high against the blue sky

7. Time for a teeth cleaning with our favorite dentist.  No cavities!

12.  Evening fire before putting the kids to bed.

I forgot to grab my camera on the way out the door so half of these are cell phone pics.  Oh well.

It was a good day. 

12x12 july edition

Yesterday's 12 x 12 was hard for me.  

I had lots of laundry and housework to do and that didn't feel like great material.  

But looking back the photos show a fun day, so I guess it wasn't so bad.

PS. Kade was around but I guess not in front of my camera.  He was busy playing with his friends and watching Tom and Jerry.  Ethan was at work all day :(

I thought I was going to get lucky and get to do another 12x12 on a day off 

but I was scheduled to work today.

I usually only have to work one Sunday every other month or so, so it's not that bad.

I got up and made crumb cake before everyone was up.  It was pretty good, it seemed to get better all day as everyone kept eating bits while it sat on the counter.  Work was really slow.  I came home to dinner (thanks babe) and we played games and went for a bike ride before the kids went to bed.  

It was lovely.

**  I love when the 12x12 falls on my day off.

  It was a pretty great day.  It was 70 degrees and sunny which makes me happy.  

I went with some friends to dinner, a movie and dessert.  It was so fun.

It was fun for me to do a 12x12 on my day off instead of at work.  

Yesterday we spent the day getting back into our groove.  

It felt good to catch up on laundry and get the house picked up. 

 Though I will say that Ethan does a great job of keeping things under control while I'm gone.  

(It helps that Jackie had the kids for two days, thanks Jack & Rick!)

The kids spent the night on Friday with Eric and Jackie.  Ethan and I went to see The King's Speech and had dinner at Communal.  It was a great date night.  Saturday morning we both worked at the same time.  We grabbed a bagel and Ethan dropped me off at work.  After work he picked me up and we went up to Eric and Jackie's for dinner.  I was planning on bringing my camera in but it was pouring rain so I left it in the car.

November 12x12

I finally got back into the 12x12 groove this month....

 {Finished the book I was reading, The Boleyn Inheritance, before getting out of bed, our new fridge has an ice maker and water YES!, reading blogs and breakfast, kids having fun dip snack after breakfast - nice parenting}

My 12x12 didn't go so well....I only got 7 photos yesterday.  Boo.

I was feeling un-inspired about doing my third 12x12 at the big C.

On my lunch break the car said the temp was 99 so I was too hot to take any pics as I ran an errand on my half hour break.

When I got home I was just done, so here is what I came up with:

June 12x12

This month, I marked the 12th on the calendar so I would remember.  

I am hoping one of these months I will have the day off for the 12th, I guess we'll see.

Here was my Saturday:

{Kade playing some early morning MarioKart, a cute drawing Kade made for E, my toes while getting ready for the day, before work errands--OfficeDepot & bagels for friends}

{crazy storm that rolled in, free pizza in the breakroom for lunch, a little Diet Coke in the afternoon, the view on my break--the storm was clearing up}

{sitting at a light on the way home, working on baby t-shirts for gifts, Addi on a late date to Coldstone--cotton candy icecream, right before bed, watching DDD}

notes:  Kade is great at drawing things and I love that he drew them skateboarding.  complete with helmets and knee pads.  

Kade spent the night with the cousins, so Add got to go to Coldstone w/E and I in her pj's instead of going to bed.  She said it was the best night of her life.
