Snow shoeing at Jolley's Ranch

Whit and I have been trying to hit 10,000 steps a day and have been tracking with our fit bits.  

We wanted to do something outside and Ethan gave us the idea to go snow shoeing.  

Courtney came with us and it was so fun.  

Jolley's Ranch is up Hobble Creek Canyon.  

It was $6 to rent shoes and go head on out.  I can't wait to go back!

Eric and Jackie called and said they would be down by us and we were happy to have them visit.

We had tomato soup and grilled cheese for dinner.

Uncle taught Kade some math tricks.

I love how much they love their Uncle and Jackie and now baby Bree too.

After they left.......

The Springville Art Museum had a Brian Kershisnik opening so Amy came down.

We loved it.  The paintings were huge and amazing.

We got to meet Brian Kershisnik and he signed Amy's book.

I kept texting Ash pictures of my favorite paintings.

She is the one who introduced me to his art way back when she worked at the Brownstone.

It was really fun and I can't wait to go back and show the kids.

misc. summer fun

We are loving lots of pool time, baseball and the new Springville splash pad.

It doesn't get much better.  Except when I get too much sun and get a cold sore on my lip for a week.

That is a bummer.

I loved Laurie Notaro's Potty Mouth at the Table (suggested by Ash)

It was hilarious.

Now I'm looking for something new to read.

Any suggestions?

The Grotto

I really want to get out and explore Utah more.  I just don't know where to start.

I remembered my friend telling me about this short hike last summer.

It is up the Nebo Loop in Payson Canyon.  It is on the way to Payson Lake.

It was so pretty up there.  The trail is short and has lots of little log bridges to cross and a stream the whole way up.  The kids loved it.  When you get to the end there is a waterfall.

Where should we go next?

last day of fun with Bri and Rach.

Eric knows a guy from work who took us out on Utah Lake.

It was a windy day but the sun was shining and we had a great time.

The kids loved tubing and even got Rach and I to go out.

Eric went out on the tube and had Tyson try and knock him out of it and the kids loved it.

Add loved the boat.  She was so funny.  She would be out on the tube making the "Faster" signal and made up a "go crazy!" signal too.

After boating we went back to Mom and Paul's.

We let the kids swim while Rach and I laid out.

It was so fun to sit and chat and the kids played so well together.

I wanted a pic with Bri and Rick and it took forever to get one with Bri's eyes open.

I am so happy the kids had this week to play together.

We sure do love those twins!
