Back to School 2015

The kids and Ethan got home from Utah on Sunday and we had our Back to School dinner.

They looked forward to fondue all week.

It was so good.

Monday morning Add looked up the waterfall braid for us to try in her hair.

It took me three times to get it but it looked cute after.

I love the first day on the front porch pics.

Ethan and I walked down to the school with Jenny (Natalie's mom)

Add was really happy to see her friends there.

These cute girls are all in the same class.

They both came home saying it was a good day.

They are such good kids.

back to school 2013

Back to school came quick.

We had our Back to School dinner on Wednesday night. 

My trick is that I set the table in the morning if I have time so when it's dinner, 

it's all ready and less to do that evening.

We went over to the school for an Open House and to meet the kids' teachers.

After the open house we went over to my friend, Rachael's to have Addi's haircut.

She desperately needed a trim (and to have some green cut off)

Ethan got done early and we ate.

Fondue is usually what the kids pick.

It was so good.

The next morning the kids were up bright and early, ready to go.  

Addi wanted to leave for the bus at 7:45 am. haha.  They are looking so old. 

After they left on the bus, I started to follow in the car. I got around the corner and thought, "what am I doing?"  so I drove home and got ready for breakfast with some friends.

It was weird.  But I just knew they would be ok. 2nd and 3rd grade.

I had a Back to School breakfast for Mom's and it was really fun.

There were 6 of us and I didn't take a single picture.

We had scones and yogurt and granola and fruit.

After everyone left, I headed up to Kalli's. 

We had lunch in the park and then got donuts at Station 13.

Brought home donuts for the kids and met them at the bus stop.

They both said they had a good time and liked their teachers.

When Ethan got home we went to Slab for dinner.  

I think we did that last year too.

And then I wanted to puke from all the eating. 

Kindergarten Graduation

Addi had her Kindergarten graduation on Thursday night.

She was really excited to perform. She has been practicing her part and all the songs for weeks.

She did so well.  She smiled and sang so loud.

I was so proud of her.

I will admit to tearing up quite a few times.

I just can't believe that she is done with Kindergarten!

Big thanks to Uncle and Jackie for coming down to celebrate with us.

We ended the night at DQ: 

Kade is a 1st grader

Kade started school yesterday.

He was so excited/anxious that he was up at 6 am.

He saw kids at the bus stop about 20 mins early so we headed down to the corner.

His BFF Cam and his brother Mason saved him a seat on the bus.

Add and I drove over to the school to meet his teacher.

After school we met Kade at the bus stop and then made soft pretzels for a snack.

For his Back to School dinner he requested fondue.

He loves fondue.  It was really cheesey (i think i added too much cheese) and delicious.

We finished the night with watching the Phillies game, some wrestling matches and chocolate peanut butter icecream.
